Broadcasting is a term that existed before radio. It was an agricultural term which described the process of sowing seed in a vast field. For the first radio broadcast, the nativity story was read from the Gospel of Matthew, followed by Silent Night played on violin. The radio became a medium to share the Gospel.
In His parables, Jesus compares the preaching of good news to sowing seed in a field.
